Capitol Advocacy Partners is a different kind of firm. We opened in 2013 with a sole purpose: To provide dedicated, comprehensive federal representation to a handful of clients - clients who mean something to us, who we enjoy working with, and who we can achieve results for.

Professionals at CAP are working proactively to ensure that clients and federal decision makers are knowledgable about pandemic activities. CAP has been providing clients weekly updates, preparing communications for our client’s members and constituency groups, as well as helping clients to express concerns to decision makers in the nation’s capital. We routinely communicate with the Administration and Congress the impact that the pandemic is having on their constituents. We are communicating client requests through letters and personal communications to secure relief such as help to cities and schools. H.R. 6800, HEROES Act, and passed by the House of Representatives, includes $375 billion in direct aid to cities and counties, a provision we actively worked to include. We are additionally helping clients and their constituencies to access formula-based funds via application and navigate requesting needed flexibilities for already awarded grants.

Client Testimony

CRAIG BUENO, LVJUSD BOARD, PRESIDENT

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Dana and CAP for many years. We’ve walked the halls of Congress together, and in every instance found her to be on a first name basis with staff and our elected public servants alike. She is highly respected and equally skilled at navigating the complexities of Federal programs. A masterful writer, she pursues projects with the same if not greater passion than the originator. In my current role on our local school board, I’ve witnessed the effectiveness she and Amanda have had in securing several highly competitive grants for us, working tirelessly on behalf of children. Advocacy is a journey - Dana and Amanda are the absolute best guides in the business.”

CHIEF SHAWNY WILLIAMS, VALLEJO POLICE DEPARTMENT

“The team at Capitol Advocacy has exceeded my highest expectations. Securing more than four million dollars in grant funds and earmarks in just one year, they have developed and strengthened new partnerships with essential stakeholders to help build community health and improve public safety service in the City of Vallejo. Most importantly, they are skilled professionals who care and they take the time to understand the needs, capabilities, and provide support to ensure success. Dana, Mary, and their team are “game changers” that have improved our system, relationships, and processes for years to come.”

MARK LILLIS, LEAVEN KIDS, CEO

“Dana and her team hit a home run for us right out of the gate as we joined their effective team—we did not have to wait a year or two for success, it was immediate with a major grant secured right away. This team knew the National issues that our youth were facing and how our program could effectively work to be a solution. And it is really, really a lot of fun working with Capitol Advocacy Partners, they are just that, a great partner, good friends, and not only do they believe in us, but inspire us to do our very best work, as they courageously champion and cheerlead for our team, and the communities we serve!”

Jeffrey Lewis, legacy health endowment, president and ceo

“Capitol Advocacy Partners is one of the nation’s premier organizations. Their ability to assist nonprofits leverage funding with federal and state dollars is exceptional. The expertise of the CAP  team is mind-blowing – their ideas, ethics, and integrity are unmatched anywhere in Washington, DC, and across America. Dana, Amanda, and Dante are exceptional at what they do, and with their band of dreamers on staff, they perform the impossible. Being a client and part of the CAP family is an honor. They are indeed a blessing.”
